About Rajeshwari:
Rajeshwari is four years old. She has an elder sister and two elder brothers. The family live in a rural village in Chengalpettu, in a small, thatched home with only one room.
Rajeshwari's Father, Ravi, is a wood cutter. Her Mother, Kasi, goes for daily wage work and runs the household. They find work for 10-15 days a month. Rajeshwari's mother and father support her and her siblings on the small income they receive.
Sponsor Rajeshwari:
Sponsoring Rajeshwari will help to ensure that her and her siblings attend school regularly. She will have access to extra-curricular after-school classes with a specially appointed teacher, to help her with her homework, explore her creativity, and study English.
Our partners at CARE Foundation will help the family in their daily life and monitor the children’s progress. The family will be provided with hygiene equipment and will be included in SOTE awareness programmes.
Rajeshwari will receive school equipment and uniform, and her birthday will be celebrated each year along with other children in her community.
