About Kavitha:
Kavitha is seven years old. She has a younger brother. The family live in a rural village in Chengalpettu, in a small thatched home with only one room.
Kavitha's Father, Karthick, is a wood cutter. Her Mother, Malar, goes for daily wage work and runs the household. They find work for 10-15 days a month. Kavitha's mother and father support her and her brother on the little income they receive.
Sponsor Kavitha:
Sponsoring Kavitha will help to ensure that her and her brother attend school regularly. She will have access to extra-curricular after-school classes with a specially appointed teacher, to help her with her homework, explore her creativity, and study English.
Our partners at CARE Foundation will help the family in their daily life and monitor the childrens' progress. The family will be provided with hygeine equipment and will be included in SOTE awareness programmes.
Kavitha will recieve school equipment and uniform, and her birthday will be celebrated each year along with other children in her community.
